in Transformation |

Walk
the talk, and make it happen. What
do you wish to transform in your life? Have you taken the
time to think about it lately?
Wake
up calls. We all receive them some where along the way.
An opportunity to realize that there is so much more than how we
choose to live. They can be gifts we receive to acknowledge
what's stuck, and assist us to move forward into positive growth.
Several
weeks ago, a very special wake up call arrived. A loving nudge
from Mother Earth. Shortly after snuggling in for the night,
nearly asleep, I could sense a low rumble. A train?
Thunder? Not this time. This came from much deeper,
very deep under our home. Was I imagining this?
No. The foster dog stirred, providing helpful confirmation.
This was not my imagination. Should I react?
Be patient. After a brief pause, the house shook again.
Everything rattled.
Our
Earth is in constant change and growth. As her children, we
are as well. It is our choice as to whether we do this consciously,
with positive intention and kindness. We may perceive the
illusion that we are standing still, but in reality, the Earth carries
us thousands of miles per hour. Spinning, orbiting…a constant
state of movement in tandem with the expansion of the Universe.
Following
the second tremor, I snuggled back down, being grateful for the
home that Mother Earth provides for us. In my heart, I acknowledged
and accepted to change and grow with her, whatever that might bring.
The connection she sent in return was loving, warm, and unconditional,
like a feeling of being rocked gently in the arms of a mother.
Mother
Earth deserves our love and respect, simply by the love she pours
out to us with the gift of our lives here on this planet.
Since
that experience, I have been reminded that everything we do….the
way we walk on this Earth, the way we touch anything, the way we
think, the way we respond……can make a difference for the planet.
Each movement, each action, and each thought is a way to contribute
to our collective growth and spiritual awareness. We each
have the opportunity to plant our feet carefully as we move throughout
the day. Our energetic footprints remain as we touch, our
legacy is our choice.
When
we allow our foundations to be shaken, we have the opportunity to
acknowledge the expansiveness which exists outside of our comfort
zones. We can gift ourselves with life lessons, and accept
this gift from others.
Like
new pets in a household in the process of getting to know each other,
and moving towards Harmony, we have bonding experiences which help
us to acknowledge a mutual goal. This aids us to envision
a future together. Mother Earth lovingly provides a bonding
experience, a classroom.
Imagine
what we could do to assist the planet and each other if we simply
took the opportunity to dial up our Creator, and hear what messages
might be waiting for us on voice mail. Listen to your heart's
desire. Listen to the love which emanates from deep within...from
your Source.
If
we can imagine a world filled with Peace, Harmony, and Balance,
we can create it!
Blessings
on your Journey,
Carol

Additional
Insight:
According
to the Lakota prophecy, the female White Buffalo is a sacred symbol
for all races to come together in peace, harmony and balance.
She heralds a time of enlightenment and brings healing into the
world.
"Mention
that we are praying, many of the medicine people, the spiritual
leaders, the elders, are praying for the world," says Joseph Chasing
Horse. "We are praying that mankind does wake up and think about
the future, for we haven't just inherited this earth from our ancestors,
but we are borrowing it from our unborn children."

Nourishment
of the Soul
with
P-I-C-N-I-C
Two
favorite words of my daughter right now are "yesterday"
and "picnic".
I
believe that the fascination with the word "yesterday"
is how it sounds when it is spoken. We're slowly working
on the meaning of "today". It's good for me, too,
since it's always helpful to let go of the past and live in the
present moment.
And
then the word "P-I-C-N-I-C". Wow! Such transformation
occurs with this approach! Grabbing a sandwich, or "it's
time to eat lunch", now turns into a Festival!
On
a recent road trip to visit wonderful new friends and wildlife rehabilitators,
lunchtime was rolling around. After a special time of meeting
the animals and sharing stories, expecting my young daughter to
sit still at a dinner table and enjoy an "adult meal"
was a wildcard event. Then the word "picnic" rolled
off my tongue, and she headed for the table with excitement!
As she relished her peanut butter and jelly, the delicious food
that Ben and Mary prepared for us all seemed to do more than nourish
the body. The sharing of joy and spiritual conversation nourished
the soul as well !!
And
with a dash of spontaneity, you never know who might show up!
Recently, we were making one of our jungle gym stops on the way
home from a long day out. She soon suggested that we
pull out the food we had packed for lunch, and have dinner at the
park. So, we proceeded to lay out the blanket, and delve into
the leftovers. Eating outside during a beautiful sunset was
something I had not remembered doing in many years. With the
gorgeous bright orange sun and sky, it was like we were having a
picnic in nature's art gallery. We enthusiastically welcomed
the ladybugs and fireflies to share our table for the evening.
With
Joy as an appetizer, the food tastes better, and the nourishment
it brings can be profound!
Welcome
to the Picnic. Enjoy the Festival of Life!

Blue
Moon
Once in a blue moon. This is a phrase that many of us have
heard and use. Do you know it's origination?
A
blue moon has become defined in modern astronomy and folklore (1940s,
and more in the late 1980s) as the 2nd full moon in a calendar month.
Full moons are separated by 29 days. Most months are 30 or
31 days long. Over time (about every 2 1/2 years), it is possible
to have two full moons in a single calendar month. There is
an older, more complex, definition of "blue moon" that
is related to an extra full moon (13 instead of 12) within a calendar
year. And prior to use in a calendrical sense or association
with the lunar event, it may have been used in colloquial expressions,
and became associated with the lunar events later on.
In
July 2004, we will have two full moons. The first was on July
2nd. The next will be on July 31st...hence it is a "blue
moon" by the more modern definition.
However...it
does not mean that the moon will actually appear to be the color
blue. The color of the moon is affected by particles in the
air, not the date. Particles can accumulate high in the Earth's
atmosphere from eruption of volcanoes or existence of forest fires.
If the particles are slightly wider than the wavelength of red light
(0.7 micron), and no other sizes are present (which is rare), the
moon can appear to be blue. Times in history where this has
occurred have been in 1883 with the eruption of an Indonesian volcano
named Krakatoa, in 1983 with the eruption of El Chichon volcano
in Mexico, in 1980 by Mt. St. Helens, and in 1991 by Mount Pinatubo.
More
likely, the blue moon may appear red. Ash and dust clouds
thrown into the atmosphere by fires and storms usually contain a
mixture of particles with a wide range of sizes. Most are
smaller than 1 micron, and they tend to scatter blue light.
Consider
taking a few minutes to sneak a peek at sunset on July 31st,
Regardless of the definition of blue moon that you may use, connecting
with and honoring our lunar neighbor can be a reminder of the awesomeness
of this experience that we are priviledged to live on this planet.
Ask yourself how you can make a difference for humanity and the
world on a daily basis.

Cancer
Lunar Cycle
The
Moon in Cancer represents the Great Mother and feminine principle.
Cancer is a water sign reminding you to be open to the flow of new
ideas and possibilities in your life.
The
focus during this cycle is on your roots, home, family, and all
that nourishes you on the most basic essential level.
It
is a time to gain further awareness of unhealthy attachments to
the past and outmoded habits that still remain. Strengthen
your relationship with your inner guidance system. This will
then support your relationship with your physical plane family.
Take
the opportunity to enlarge your concept of family and friends in
conjunction with the Blue Moon during this cycle. Be inspired
to cultivate compassion for yourself and others!
